Saludos blogosphere, and please, pull up a seat! In this inaugural post of the Seattle Snobthrift, I will explain the purpose of this blog, which is to serve as a transcript of my journey as I attempt to save $10,000 of my humble copywriter's salary in one year (for a purpose to be disclosed later in this blog), without sacrificing my preferred snobby lifestyle.
Using the accessible culture and shining natural beauty of the Emerald City as my currency, I am off to prove that penny pinching and posh living can co-exist when you live somewhere as cool as Seattle-and I'd like all of you to come along!
Presently I have $21.07 in my savings account, approx $9978.93 short of my goal, and approx $350 short of the strict Snobthrift Savings Plan put together for me by Accomplice/Auditor Blond Snob, who will hunt me if I don't come up with the money by the end of the month. Clearly, it is time to get Snobthrifty! Let's go!
